Crazy Little Thing

A love story. A horror story. And so much more.
This story is now available in the short story collection Crazy Little Things, as well as offered free to read right on this site
Published by Die Monster Die! Books, CLT is a 40-odd page story with chapter headings and two full page illustrations by Travis Ingram. The book desc itself, which since I bothered to write once I might as well reuse, reads:
Have you ever been in love? Lost in place? Felt helpless in the face of your own life? Been locked in an institution while the world goes mad around you? Had blood covered hands that you just, honestly officer, couldn’t explain? If you answered yes to all of these, call a lawyer. Even if you answered no, Crazy Little Thing will remind you of those times you never even had.
A 40+ page story written by Adam P. Knave and featuring tonsof artwork of Travis Ingram, this story has been called “…a creepy story in the vein of Michael Marshall Smith “, “…energetic and entertaining…” and “…full of well-thought-out twists and great characters.” by people who weren’t involved or paid to say things.
I am insanley proud of Crazy Little Thing. The story just sparked for me and I had a blast doing it.
Horror-Web reviewed it, giving it a 4.5 out of 5 and saying, in part: Original and creative, the plot and characters are deep, but not too heavy to carry. You’ll feel their panic and paranoia and you’ll see through their eyes as they try to navigate through their shrouded world. That intentional aim helps the pace as well. Slow and steady, the speed of the story is set to a subtle beat that only intensifies the more immersed you are.
Ronald Damien Malfi, author of THE FALL OF NEVER said “Knave writes with the trembling fervor of a schizophrenic…’Crazy Little Thing’ is a spiraling tornado of madness, of brilliance, and Knave should be praised, then institutionalized…”
