A 19yr old in Australia made a video and song utilizing only sounds/images from the Disney Alice in wonderland film. Great stuff:

(via The Consumerist) I just wanted to point something out that is not very publicized yet. On June 29th, the FAA will switch to a different filing method for flights in the USA. They are switching to what is called and “ICAO Flight Plan”, which is the international standard that the rest of the world uses. This is like going from standard to metric for the aviation world.
Because so many airlines and FAA computers are old and talk to so many agencies, there is a strong chance that something will go wrong. At the large airline I work at, some are calling it “D-Day”, since it is a cold-turkey switch. We are talking about a brand-new way for ALL airlines to file domestic flight plans, and they are all doing it for the first time on June 29th.
—————————
Here is the FAA page regarding this.
I can’t think this will be much more fucked up than airtravel has been recently, but hey you never know.

(via Sci-Fi Wire) Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, confirmed that the upcoming The First Avenger: Captain America will be a World War II period piece, like the comic book on which it is based, and he shot down a rumor that Matthew McConaughey was in line to play the hero.
Feige, speaking to online journalists at Universal Studios on May 21, added that Captain America would help set up the eventual Avengers movie, which follows six weeks later. (Feige also confirmed what many fans have speculated: That the star-shaped object in Tony Stark’s workshop in Iron Man is indeed part of Cap’s famous shield.)
Feige also talked about the upcoming Thor movie, confirming that it will take place mostly in Asgard, the mythical Norse realm of the gods, and not in the contemporary real world. “The film is not all Asgard, but it will be a big chunk in Asgard, yeah,” Feige said.
Feige promised an announcement about a director for Thor “later this summer.” Mark Protosevich (The Cell) is drafting a script, which should be submitted in a couple of weeks, he added.
Feige also confirmed release dates for Marvel’s future slate of superhero movies: Iron Man 2 on April 30, 2010; Thor on June 4, 2010; The First Avenger: Captain America on May 6, 2011; and The Avengers on July 1, 2011.
As for a second Iron Man movie, Feige said that talks are underway with director Jon Favreau to return and that he hopes to wrap them up soon.

(via The AP) Hello Kitty is named Japan tourism ambassador
TOKYO (AP) — Hello Kitty — Japan’s ubiquitous ambassador of cute — has built up an impressive resume over the years. Global marketing phenom. Fashion diva. Pop culture icon. Now the moonfaced feline can add “government envoy” to the list. The tourism ministry on Monday named Hello Kitty as its choice to represent the country in China and Hong Kong, two places where she is wildly popular among kids and young women.
—————–
Ok whatever. But then let us go to the last two paragraphs and study them:
—————–
A multi-million-dollar musical featuring Hello Kitty opened earlier this year in Beijing and is in the midst of a national tour. “Hello Kitty’s Dream Light Fantasy” is then scheduled to travel to Malaysia, Singapore and the U.S. over its three-year run.
According to her official profile from Sanrio, Hello Kitty lives with her family in London. It does not mention how often she visits Japan.
—————–
Hello Kitty doesn’t even live in Japan! How fucked up is that? I say it is very fucked up.
But fuck all that! FUCK IT!
HELLO!
KITTY!
MUSICAL!
Who’s going with me? Raise your hand. I am so there! She has no mouth! I wanna see how she sings! Maybe Badtz Maru has a solo!
HELLO KITTY MUSICAL: “Hello Kitty’s Dream Light Fantasy”
Jesus fuck sticks from the Gorton fisherman I NEED TO SEE THIS! Who’s in!?

So from the recent CW upfronts here is the first trailer/look at the show, with some actors talking about character and so on. It looks horrible, and wonderful. I mean it has Aunt Beck and Lucile in it! LUCILE! Anyway… here ya go.
