I just noticed this, though I am sure it isn’t new:

Against the Day by Thomas Pynchon is only 7 bucks at Amazon right now. In hardcover, mind you. It’s a great book. It has pulp adventure with a crew of balloonists, anarchists, the World’s Fair, crazy science, fun explosions, serious statements about stuff, well hell it’s a fantastic read.

And did I mention that it’s only 7 bucks in hardcover? 80% off, cheaper than it will be in paperback I’m sure.

I dunno, I think it’s exciting. I loved the book, myself.
