According to Fox News Scarlett Johansson has signed a record deal. That’s not the screaming part. You know, whatever. Lohan does it, Love-Hewitt does it, fucking Keanu is in Dogstar, right?
However!
Scarlett is doing a CD of… well not original works. The CD is called… brace yourselves…
Yeah. She’s doing a whole CD of Tom Waits covers.
I’ll say it again: NooOOOooooooooOoOoOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo!
Fox lists this as being “recorded now and through the winter, with a possible release next spring from Rhino Records’ recently reactivated Atco label.”
This has a tiny, tiny potential to be decent. I mean, some women can do a Waits version justice (not Tori Amos, god that cover of Time fucking sucks ass) and there are claims that Scarlett is going to be good at this. But it has a much higher chance of sucking more than… well… lots of things. Gah.
